Crossroads Firewood Co.
FOR WINERIES & BREWERIES

Firewood for outdoor experiences your guests come back for.

Cured hardwood for tasting-room fire pits, brewery fire rings, and the patios where your customers actually spend their afternoons.

Central Virginia's winery and brewery scene is built on outdoor experiences — fire pits at sunset, fireplaces in tasting rooms, fire rings on the patio. The wood you burn shapes how the place feels and smells. Crossroads supplies wineries, breweries, and tasting rooms across the region with cured, premium hardwood that lights easily, burns clean, and doesn't fight the wine.

Why Crossroads

What wineries & breweries tell us matters most.

  • Cured hardwood mix — red oak, white oak, chestnut — for warm, even, low-smoke fires.
  • Presentation-quality splits — clean, uniform, and stack-ready for guest-facing fire features.
  • Recurring seasonal delivery on a schedule that matches your peak weekends.
  • Bulk pricing for multi-fire-feature properties (most wineries run 2–8 fire pits during peak season).
  • No pine, no poplar, no smoky undercured wood that taints the wine experience.

Cords

A typical winery with 3–5 active fire pits burns about 1 full cord per month during peak season (April–November).

Premium Mix — cured red oak, white oak, and chestnut. Available by the tote for smaller spots or by the cord for full tasting rooms.

How Wineries & Breweries Work With Us

What ordering looks like.

Most winery and brewery accounts run on a seasonal cadence — heavy from April through November, lighter in winter. We can pre-position a season's worth of wood at the start of the season or run a monthly delivery, whichever fits your storage and operations. For properties with 5+ active fire pits, we usually recommend bulk delivery quarterly.

The Crossroads Difference

Why we don't compete on price.

Bargain firewood from Facebook Marketplace is unpredictable — green wood that smokes the patio out, pine that throws sparks into your seating area, junk hardwood that won't catch. Your guests will notice. Crossroads sells premium firewood for hospitality businesses that take their guest experience seriously.

Common Questions

Frequently asked.

How much firewood does a typical winery burn per month during peak season?

It depends on how many fire pits or fireplaces you run and how often. A winery with 3–5 fire pits running every Friday–Sunday burns about a full cord per month from April through November. Higher-traffic properties with 8+ fire features can burn 2–3 cords per month.

Can you deliver to a winery with limited storage?

Yes — we can split your seasonal supply across smaller weekly or biweekly deliveries so you're never sitting on more wood than you can stack cleanly. Just tell us your storage situation when we set up your account.

Do you supply firewood that looks good stacked for guest-facing displays?

Yes — every split we cut is uniform enough to stack cleanly. If you want extra-presentation-quality splits for prominent guest-facing displays (lobby fireplaces, entrance fire features), let us know and we'll select for it.
